The foreign ministers of Ukraine and Russia exchanged congratulatory telegrams on the occasion of the 21st anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Ukraine and Russia, the Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry press service informs.
"Our countries have managed to find mutually acceptable solutions on many issues on the bilateral agenda, achieved important results in the strengthening of the strategic partnership," the letter of the Foreign Minister of Ukraine reads.
Kozhara expressed confidence that the systematic and fruitful Russian-Ukrainian dialogue will be continued within the forthcoming meeting of the Presidents of Ukraine and the Russian Federation.
The Minister also noted the successful cooperation at the level of Foreign Ministries in the bilateral format, in particular, at the level of the Subcommittee on International Cooperation of the Russian-Ukrainian Interstate Commission, and in the international arena. "I believe that highly dynamic and effectiveness of interagency dialogue will grow in the future," Kozhara said.
The protocol on the establishment of diplomatic relations between Ukraine and the Russian Federation was signed on February 14, 1992 in Minsk.
