The government has approved a plan of first priority steps towards the European integration for 2013, first deputy foreign minister of Ukraine Ruslan Demchenko informs.

"The approved document is a comprehensive governmental decision, which aims to provide continuous work for implementation of Ukraine's European integration tasks, taking into account the domestic social and economic reforms that are being implemented in the country," Demchenko said after the government’s meeting in Kyiv on Wednesday.

He said that the plan stipulates the specific actions of the Ukrainian side to prepare for the implementation of the future Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU, as well as strengthening of cooperation in the field of justice, freedom and security.

The first deputy minister added that the planned activities will be complemented by steps to reform the justice system, which are conducted within the Constituent Assembly, appropriate committees and working groups.
