The European Union has accepted huge obligations regarding Ukraine, deputy chairman of the EU delegation in Ukraine Mariya Yurikova said at a meeting of the working group "Regional development and cohesion policy of the national convention of Ukraine regarding the EU", ForUm correspondent reports.

At the same time, Yurikova noted that Ukraine and the EU have to do a lot of work this year to sign an Association Agreement in November.

In turn, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Slovak Republic to Ukraine Pavel Gamzhik stressed that Ukraine needs a quality legal juridical basis for the regional development.

He recalled that Slovakia faced once similar problems, which were solved by very tough reforms in the tax and banking fields, as well as in matters of self-government.
