Prime Minister of Vietnam Nguyen Tan Dung is going to visit Kyiv to sign the FTA agreement with Ukraine, ambassador of Vietnam to Uraine Ho Dac Minh Nguet said in interview.

The ambassador noted that the agreement should greatly simplify the process of bilateral trade and economic relations, and substantially increase trade turnover between the countries.

"First of all, we expect to increase trade turnover between the countries. It should cross the verge of $ 1 billion in the next couple of years, since the countries has great potential for this," Ho Dac Minh Nguet hopes.

The ambassador added that Vietnam considers partnership with Ukraine promising in the aviation, aerospace, shipbuilding, pharmaceuticals fields and hopes for closer cooperation in power engineering, culture, science, education and tourism.

Ambassador of Vietnam expects the FTA agreement with Ukraine to be prepared until 2014.
Vietnam also looks forward to reach trade turnover with Ukraine in amount of 400 million dollars following 2012.

Prime Minister Mykola Azarov paid a visit to Vietnam in mid-November 2012.

Azarov hopes that negotiations on FTA agreement with Vietnam will be completed by 2014.
