Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Rybak intends to initiate the address of MPs to the Constitutional Court of Ukraine in connection with the decision of the Higher Administrative Court of Ukraine on withdrawal of mandates from MPs Pavlo Baloha and Oleksandr Dombrovski, the Parliament’s press service informs.
Rybak asked the MPs to prepare the appropriate address to send it to the Constitutional Court.
"The Constitutional Court of Ukraine, in my opinion, should put an end to this matter, in which there are two diametrically opposed points of view," the speaker said.
"On one hand, there is obligatory implementation of the decision of the Higher Administrative Court, which entered into force in accordance with the Constitution and laws of Ukraine. On the other hand, there is the position of the individual deputies, who believe that the decision of the Higher Administrative Court contradicts the Constitution of Ukraine. The final point in this discussion should put by the Constitutional Court," Volodymyr Rybak said.
