The presidential project "New life" continues to be implemented in all regions of Ukraine, first deputy head the Presidential Administration Iryna Akimova said on the occasion of the first anniversary of the opening of the Kyiv Perinatal Center, ForUm correspondent reports.
According to her, eight perinatal centers have been already opened in the country, where almost 20 thousand children were born.
The deputy head of the Presidential Administration stressed that the opening of perinatal centers is not the final result.
"This is just the beginning of a great and hard work, the purpose of which is to improve the quality of health care of our mothers and babies," she said.
Akimova noted that this work consists of a lot of components, including the improvement of professional skills of staff, quality management process and establishment of medical standards.
