Ohryzko: Success of European integration will become a victory of government and opposition

To achieve the European integration aspirations of Ukraine opposition should stop talking in terms of ultimatum, former foreign minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Ohryzko said during the National Expert Forum "Ukraine-2013. Forecast," ForUm correspondent reports. 

According to him, the authorities have already guessed that the European integration has no alternative. "But the opposition should negotiate with the government and realize its intentions," the expert said.

He added that "if the optimistic scenario of developments is implemented, it will be a victory of the government and the opposition. It will be important for our foreign partners, as they will understand the motion vector of Ukraine, and for Russia, because it will realize the principle of Ukraine," Ohryzko noted.

According to him, to implement the positive scenario the government should be consistent and take steps toward rapprochement with the European Union, as well as recognize its mistakes. "But the opposition has also to act reasonably," he concluded.
