Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov held a meeting on introduction of the law on licensing of imported medicaments, Interfax informs.

 “A patient should come to a drugstore and buy a preparation, which he wants, which he got accustomed to see on the counter. The situation is ruled out that usual for people range of medicaments may be reduced. At the same time, we will not go to compromises as regards the quality and affordability of medicaments,” Mykola Azarov said.

The Prime Minister instructed Vice Prime Minister Kostyantyn Hryshchenko to find out who of the officials was negligent in fulfillment of duties and allowed the situation, when measures have not been taken over more than seven months to ensure the necessary normative-legal base and complex introduction of the law “On Amendments to some Laws of Ukraine on Licensing of Medicinal Agents and Defining a Term “Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient,” adopted by the Verkhovna Rada as far back as on July 4, 2012.

The Head of government instructed to develop all necessary delegated acts so that to adopt them at the Cabinet's meeting until February 13.

Mykola Azarov obliged Kostyantyn Hryshchenko to submit proposals regarding bringing the officials to responsibility, who failed to ensure timely development of abovementioned delegated acts.
