Plants for the production of sodium hypochlorite will be built at the Dnieper and Desna water intake stations, advisor to the chairman of the board on information policy of Kyivvodocanal Viktoriya Yakovleva told a press conference, ForUm correspondent reports.
"These plants have been already designed. Now they are being examined. I think the funds to start construction will be allocated in the near future. This concerns the Dnieper and Desna water intake stations," she said.
According to the specialist, these plants have to become an alternative to existing chloride households.
"The chloride households in Kyiv are unsafe for the environment," the representative of Kyivvodocanal stressed.
