Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has congratulated the players and coaches of the Donbass hockey club winning the IIHF Continental Cup, ForUm correspondent reports.
"I would like to congratulate you on such a big victory that you have brought to our country, and Ukraine won for the first time the Euro Hockey League," he said.
The President also reminded that last week he congratulated the Ukrainian woman, which became the world champion in chess.
"The government is doing everything to develop our sport. We follow this way. And sports infrastructure is getting better from year to year," Yanukovych added.
According to him, a number of patrons, who want to invest in the sport, is increasing.
In addition, the President recalled that the sports infrastructure built for Euro 2012 will continue to serve the future generations.
