The European Union expects from Ukraine decisive step towards the signing of the Association Agreement.
"We can not wait. The window of opportunity is open right now. It is important not to lose the November period, as time is crucial in politics. Time is running out. If you look at the political calendar of Ukraine and the EU, you will realize that there are only few months, not years," European Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighborhood Policy Štefan Füle said during the meeting with members of the Ukrainian government in Kyiv, ForUm correspondent reports.
European Commissioner stressed that it is necessary to work more vigorously for Ukraine's integration into Europe. "Now there is a historic opportunity, it depends on you and your actions," he said.
According to him, the signing of the Association Agreement will eliminate the obstacles in the further advance of Ukraine to the EU. "You need to resolve all the issues. Real steps should be taken by Ukraine," Füle stressed.
He also stressed that the higher expectations of the reforms are, the more difficult is to conduct them. However, according to the Commissioner, the Ukrainian government has to address the problems, outlined in the road map. "Everything should be done in favor of Ukraine and its citizens. The main responsibility for this issue lies with the government," Füle concluded.
