Ukrainian MPs are not required to account to the European officials, leader of the Party of Regions faction Oleksandr Yefremov told a briefing, ForUm correspondent reports.
He recalled that on Thursday, February 7, the heads of parliamentary factions are to meet with European Commissioner for Enlargement Policy and European Neighbourhood Policy Štefan Füle.
According to Yefremov, Füle will be informed about the new Code of Criminal Procedure of Ukraine. At the same time, the faction leader added: "We must not account to anyone."
"We conduct the appropriate dialog and there are many issues that we are interested in. Why do they give us the task, which do not perform in their countries? We need to respect ourselves and our nation," Yefremov concluded.
