Ukraine considers controversial Gazprom’s gas bill and is willing to negotiate, President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych told a press conference in Vilnius.
As Yanukovych said, all sanctions were brought to Ukraine under the agreement signed by the government of Yulia Tymoshenko. According to him, these sanctions do not meet the market relations of economic entities.
"They are controversial, and we have already given the answer to Gazprom," he said.
According to Yanukovych, Ukraine is now paying the highest gas price. The country is in talks with Russia, as it believes that the fair value would be the price of gas on the spot market less the cost of transportation.
