Three citizens of Ukraine, who were taken hostage by unknown attackers in Dushanbe, were released.
According to the press service of the Foreign Ministry, the hostage taking became known on January 27. Criminals demanded 100 thousand dollar of ransom for the release of Ukrainians.
The special forces of the Tajik Interior Ministry carried out an operation on January 31, as a result of which the citizens of Ukraine were released.
The criminal case has been initiated, and the investigation is being carried out. This case is under control of the Department of Consular Service of the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Embassy in the Republic of Tajikistan.
