Information about floods in the Vilkovo town in Odesa region is untrue, deputy head of the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center Anatoly Prokopenko told ForUm correspondent.
"This is the information of the previous year. Now everything is normal in Vilkovo, there are no floods. The river is well below the danger mark ... We expect nothing serious in that area," he said.
According to Prokopenko, problems with floods at the moment there are only in the Carpathians and Polissya area.
According to the deputy head of the Hydrometeorological Center, the situation in the Carpathian region is being stabilized and the water level is reduced.
"Severe frosts are expected in the region, so the amount of water flowing down will reduce.
Currently, there is no threat of flooding in the region," Prokopenko said.
