Signing the agreement on shale gas with Royal Dutch Shell will not affect the Ukrainian-Russian relations, advisor to the President of Ukraine - head of the Main Department of International Relations at the President’s Administration of Ukraine Andriy Honcharuk told a briefing, ForUm correspondent reports.
In particular, responding the question about what influence will have the agreement on the relations between Ukraine and Russia, he said: "only positive".
"I think the prospects, which are associated with the possibility of diversification, are positive," Honcharuk said, adding that Ukraine will significantly replenish its energy reserves due to shale gas production.
Advisor to the President also noted that the production of shale gas will not do harm to ecological balance of Ukraine.
