By the end of 2013, the cost of living in Ukraine will increase from the current 1108 to 1176 UAH, social policy minister Natalya Korolevska said, ForUm correspondent reports.

According to her, the minimum wage will increase to 1218 UAH, while the minimum pension -up to 949 UAH.

The minister stressed that social support should be focused on low-income people. "So during the year, material aid to low-income families will rise from today's 240.87 UAH up to 255.78 UAH for able-bodied person, from 729 UAH to 774 UAH for children up to 6 years from large families and from 907.5 UAH to 964.5 UAH for children of 6-18 years old from large families," the official said.

Natalya Korolevska added that support for the birth of the first child in 2013 will increase from the current 29.160 UAH to 30.960 UAH, of the second child - from 58.320 UAH to 61.920 UAH, the third and later - from 16.640 UAH to 123.840 UAH.
