Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov notes that it is important for Ukraine to create the conditions for full implementation of freedom of speech, he said during a meeting with activists of the National Union of Journalists, ForUm correspondent reports.
"The task of the government is to create the conditions for the implementation of freedom of speech, including the legislative background and material incentives," he said.
Azarov stressed that the freedom of speech is a fundamental value. "Of course, we should not lose it or limit," he said.
At the same time, the Prime Minister paid attention to the importance of the reliability of information and noted that the Cabinet will be grateful for valid criticism, as it monitors the information in all local media and responds to it.
According to him, it is very important for media to publish positive materials.
