We need to create incentives for the development of trade and new retail space by new law on internal trade, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said at the meeting with representatives of public organizations and experts to discuss the draft law on domestic trade, ForUm correspondent reports.
"We are seriously lagging behind from Europe. The reason is clear: our purchasing power differs from European. Naturally, everything evolves harmoniously: purchasing power grows, trade turnover increases, so incentive for the creation of new retail space, for trade development appears. Everything is interrelated. However, there is another way: by developing trade, we thus develop the purchasing power and increase GDP and the economy," Azarov said.

According to him, local producers should be supported and incentives to sell their goods should be created.

"I hope that in course of further work we will work out a high-quality, reliable, modern law, which will find its support in the Parliament," Azarov said.
