Ukrainian trade turnover is growing annually by 15-16%, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said at the meeting with representatives of public organizations and experts to discuss the draft law on domestic trade, ForUm correspondent reports.
"Despite the challenging economic environment, trade shows good indicators of development. Trade turnover over the last three years has increased by 50% and is growing annually by 15-16%," the Prime Minister said.
The Prime Minister said that this is a very good indicator, as, first of all, it is the contribution to the trade of country, to the GDP growth and increase in budget revenues.
"The government estimates the retail turnover in 800 billion hryvnias per year. This is twice as much as the state budget revenues," Azarov said.
