
The Constitutional Court of Ukraine (CC) refused to open proceedings of an official interpretation of the provisions of the law on national language policy and to declare that law is unconstitutional.
According to the CC press service, the relevant decisions were made by the panel of judges of the Constitutional Court.
On January 29, the panel of judges of the CC dismissed the claim of the Lviv City Council on official interpretation of certain provisions of the language law. On January 30, the Constitutional Court dismissed the claim of 51 MPs on the recognition of the law unconstitutional because of violating the procedure for its adoption.
In addition, the panel of judges considers another claim of 51 MP on the constitutionality of the law on national language policy.
