Ukraine hopes for efficiency of the EU-Ukraine summit foreign minister of Ukraine Leonid Kozhara told journalists, ForUm correspondent reports.

"I think the EU-Ukraine summit will be effective," he said.

Kozhara stressed that European integration remains a priority of the Government of Ukraine.

The minister also said that the Cabinet will submit a number of bills, important to the implementation of the first phase of the liberalization of the visa regime with the EU, even before the summit.

Leonid Kozhara noted that, despite the increase in the number of visas issued and decrease in denials in the EU consular offices, Ukrainians still have difficulty in crossing the border, which affects not only the business environment, but also the social environment and the mood of the people.

According to the foreign minister, "the government and other public authorities are set to execute the agenda for the Association Agreement with the EU is signed."

"Ukraine hopes that the document will be signed this year," the minister concluded.
