Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Rybak intends to pay a visit to Poland to attend the Fifth Meeting of the trilateral Interparliamentary Assembly "Ukraine-Poland-Lithuania."

"Now we wait for the proposal on the timing of the event," he said during the meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland to Ukraine Henryk Litwin.

In addition, the speaker invited his Polish colleagues to Kyiv to participate in the Seventh Session of the Interparliamentary Assembly "Ukraine-Poland", which is scheduled for the second half of 2013.

Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada expressed confidence that the timeframes for the Interparliamentary Assemblies "Ukraine-Poland" and "Ukraine-Poland-Lithuania" will be finalized in the near future, in particular, immediately after the formation of the Parliament’s delegations to participate in their work.

In turn, Mr. Litwin praised the level of bilateral relations, noting that Ukraine is Poland's "most important neighbor". "Contacts are very intense at all levels," he said.

Mr. Ambassador called inter-parliamentary co-operation extremely important part of the bilateral dialogue, in particular, the work of bilateral and trilateral assemblies, expressing belief that the trilateral meeting of the Interparliamentary Assembly "Ukraine-Poland-Lithuania," to be held as soon as possible.
