Taxi prices in Ukraine are most likely to be increased, chairman of the Taxi drivers trade union Vasyl Popik told a press conference "Reorganization and reform of the taxi market in Ukraine", ForUm correspondent reports.
"Today, the taxi market has reached bottom. Sometimes we have to work as public transport, although we do not have to do that. At present the minimum cost-effective price, provided that the taxi driver works not 12-16 hours a day, but 6-8, is a 5 UAH per kilometer," he said.
According to the expert, today in Kyiv, you can find companies that put a price of 2.2-2.8 UAH per kilometer.
Popik said that often such price is determined by illegal taxi drivers.
