Ministry of Education and Science, Youth and Sports of Ukraine has confirmed the names of leaders of the OUN and UPA Stepan Bandera and Roman Shukhevych are missing in the program of external independent testing of Ukraine in 2013.
"However, an applicant needs to know about the activities of Bandera and Shukhevych and other political figures in order to pass successfully the external independent testing," the press service of the Ministry reports.
In addition, all curricula and textbooks on the history of Ukraine approved by the Education Ministry reflect the history of formation and development of the Ukrainian liberation movement, its struggle with the totalitarian regime, OUN-UPA activities and include the study of historical figures as Stepan Bandera and Roman Shukhevych.
The Ministry noted that the names of these political figures were missing in last year's testing on the history of Ukraine as well.
