KCSA chairman Oleksandr Popov requested the President of Ukraine to dismiss heads of three district administrations of Kyiv, namely of Holosiyivsky, Svyatoshinsky and Podilsky districts.

Popov said that difficult weather conditions were on January 21 in Kyiv – it was raining, then frost increased, resulting in turning the city into an icerink. The heads of districts administrations were urgently instructed to respond to the situation and eliminate the effects of bad weather as quickly as possible.

On January 22, the KCSA held a meeting to discuss the work, which had been done. "In the evening we summed up and pointed out the shortcomings, which had occurred in almost every district, warning about the personal responsibility of heads of district administrations. Yesterday, having analyzed the work of our inspectors, the information of our call center, information from our hospitals, we learned that the worst situation to respond to the weather in Kyiv has been and remains in Holosiyivsky, Svyatoshinsky and Podilsky districts. So I have signed today a request of the dismissal of the heads of district administrations and their functions will be performed by the first deputy. In the near future, I believe, there will be an order of the President, who will legislate such a decision," Popov said.

According to the first deputy chairman of the KCSA Oleksandr Mazurchak, already in the morning of January 23 the situation in these areas changed dramatically.
