There are no railway staff cuts, infrastructure minister Volodymyr Kozak told a briefing in the Cabinet, ForUm correspondent reports.
He recalled that in 2010-2012 the automation of many processes was carried out at the Ukrainian railway road, in particular, the transition to the electronic signature and the electronic transport document was made. "Now we introduce the electronic passenger ticket, and by the end of 2013, we will have the automatic administration of train schedule and its analysis, which is currently done by hand," the minister explained.
Thus, according to Kozak, the need for hands reduces, as technique works at many positions. But he said that many employees of railway roads are retrained and transferred to other posts.
