Ukraine may enter top-hundred countries in the ranking based on economic freedom and investment efficiency, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said at the Cabinet’s meeting, ForUm correspondent reports.

"Can we quickly reach this criterion? Of course, we can. But it is clear that the rating is not an end in itself, it is an international assessment of investment attractiveness of the Ukrainian economy," the Prime Minister said.

According to Azarov, the government is developing a program of revitalization of the economy in 2013-2014. "Creating such a program is not an ordinary event. 180 billion UAH of public investment have never been provided for in our programs for the year of independence," he stressed.

Azarov also said that foreign investors are optimistic about the prospects of the Ukrainian economy.

"There are disadvantages, there are some misunderstandings in daily practice, but investors see and welcome changes for the better and are waiting for more decisive government’s action," Azarov summed up.
