World Economic Forum opens today in Davos. The main topic of the 43rd session is overcoming crises in EU member states and Ukrainian businessmen and politicians are going to discuss the prospects of integration with the EU and the Customs Union.

This year's Forum will be attended by 45 heads of state, as well as scholars and businessmen, including German Chancellor Angela Merkel, British Prime Minister David Cameron, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, World Bank President Jim Yong Kim, Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitri Medvedev.

The Davos Forum participants also include actress Charlize Theron and more than 1.500 executives, including CEO/Chairman of the Board/Director, Goldman Sachs Group Inc Lloyd Blankfein and JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon.

Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych on January 23-24 will pay a working visit to Switzerland to participate in the World Economic Forum in Davos.

According to the head of the presidential administration, Serhiy Liovochkin, this year's priorities of the head of state at the WEF meeting are the development of infrastructure and energy issues.

It is planned that the Ukrainian president will participate in the informal meetings of the world economic leaders on laying the foundation for the revival of Europe and energy infrastructure in transition period.

The head of state will present in his speeches his vision of Ukraine concerning its possible contribution to the restoration of economic stability on the European continent and the development of new models of cooperation in the energy sector.
