Mikhail Ukleba will become the new Georgian Ambassador to Ukraine, Georgian Ambassador to Ukraine Grigol Katamadze, who completes his diplomatic mission, has informed today.

Responding the question, who will be appointed as Georgian Ambassador to Ukraine, Katamadze said:

"A political decision has been taken, and it has a symbolic meaning to me. It will be Mikhail Ukleba, who 20 years ago, while holding the post of first deputy foreign minister of Georgia, convinced me to transfer from the Interior Ministry to the Foreign Ministry."

January 22, 2013 is the last working day of Grigol Katamadze at the post of the ambassador of Georgia to Ukraine.

He was appointed to the post for the first time in 2000 and held it until 2007. On January 1, 2009, he became Georgia's ambassador to Ukraine for a second time.
