Kyiv-based AeroSvit Airline at the end of December 2012 paid around Hr 19 million in wage debts for November 2012 to its employees to execute a recommendation of the Prosecutor General's Office in Kyiv region, the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office has reported.

The press service said that in early 2012, under a claim of the Prosecutor General's Office in Kyiv region, Hr 24.31 million in wage arrears was paid, Interfax informs.

In addition, the Prosecutor General's Office ordered the territorial state labor inspectorate in Kyiv region to organize checks on the paying of wage debts at the airline and to take correspondent measures.

The Prosecutor General's Office for supervision the observation of laws in the transport area in Kyiv region under addresses of councils of trade unions of air stewards and the provision of flights at AeroSvit, the chairman of the executive committee of the trade union League of Airline Pilots of the said airline submitted information on the non-payments of wages to employees of the airline into the single register of prejudicial inquiries. The prejudicial inquiry is being conducted by the investigation department at Kyiv-based Boryspil airport of the Interior Ministry in Kyiv region and under control of Prosecutor General's Office in Kyiv region.
