Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Rybak hopes that the year 2013 will be a turning point in relations between Ukraine and the European Union, he said during the meeting with MEP and vice chairman of the European Parliament's Committee on International Trade Pawel Zalewski on Monday, the press service of the Verkhovna Rada reported.

"Ukraine will move into the European community," Rybak said, adding that all branches of government are working on the realization of the European aspirations of Ukraine and its citizens are insisting on the European standards on issues of work, wages, health and education, Ukrinform news agency reported.

Rybak also said that European integration and the introduction of European standards of living were a priority for parliamentary parties. According to him, the Parliament decided to work out a single agreed draft resolution on Ukraine's European ambitions.

The speaker thanked MEP for supporting Ukraine on the path of European integration.
