Foreign minister of Ukraine, the OSCE chairman Leonid Kozhara met with chairman of the Moldovan Parliament Marian Lupu, the press service of the Foreign Ministry reported.
The parties focused on the prospects of bilateral cooperation, especially in the parliamentary direction.
They also noted the importance to enhance contacts between the supreme legislative bodies of two countries, including the committees.
The officials stressed the importance to ensure the rights of the Ukrainian minority in Moldova and Moldovan minority in Ukraine. In this context, Parliament’s speaker Marian Lupu called for the acceleration of the process of ratification of the corresponding bilateral agreement.
