Starting from April of 2013, Ukraine will amend the licensing terms of pharmacies, head of the State Service for Drugs Oleksiy Solovyov told a press conference, ForUm correspondent reports.
In particular, Ukraine will improve the quality of pharmacy services. For this purpose the following rules have been developed:
- cancellation of licenses for manufacture, purchase, transportation, delivery, storage with intent to sell or selling of counterfeit medicines;
- ensuring of the conditions of free access to pharmacies for people with disabilities;
- mandatory provision by pharmacists of complete and accurate information on the availability of drugs with the same active ingredient, form of sale and dosage of cheaper medicines.
Another important innovation is a ban on the sale of drugs to children under 16. This rule will cover prescription drugs.
