Ukrainian delegation to PACE is headed by MP from the Party of Regions Ivan Popesku.
"We have succeeded in finding a compromise at today's meeting. I have been elected as head of the delegation, oppositionist Serhiy Sobolev has been elected as the deputy head. We have distributed all the committees proportionally among the opposition and the coalition," Popesku said.
He noted that all the decisions regarding the formation of the delegation were taken on time: "Today we can say with complete confidence that all the previous excitement was unfounded - we were able to fully come to a consensus. The opposition is represented in the delegation proportionally and this fact gives rise to the constructive work of our delegation, including in the relevant committees in future," MP said.
