Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov forecasts that an agreement with Royal Dutch Shell on joint distribution of products from gas production at the Yuzivske field will be signed on January 24, he said during the meeting with foreign journalists on Friday, UKRINFORM news agency reported.
“The Kharkiv and Donetsk regional councils took decisions allowing signing an agreement on joint distribution of products on January 24,” Azarov said.
The head of government added that industrial development of this field over 10 years may give 8-10 billion cu m of gas a year to Ukraine.
At the same time, the Prime Minister noted that deputies of Lviv and Ivano-Frankivsk regional councils did not take any relevant decisions with Chevron on the Oleske field.
Predicted resources at the Yuzivske field (Kharkiv and Donetsk regions) are estimated at 4.054 trillion cu m of gas and 2.98 trillion cu m of gas at the Oleske field (Lviv and Ivano-Frankivsk region).
