Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Kostyantyn Hryshchenko urged the relevant agencies to expedite the finalization of the bills, defined by the Action Plan on visa liberalization with the EU and to focus on their accompaniment during their consideration by the Verkhovna Rada.

"We heard the reports of a number of representatives of the Ministries and agencies, responsible for the drafting of legislation, their support in the Parliament, so that we can complete the first step and proceed to the second," Hryshchenko said after the inter-ministerial meeting on the implementation of action plan, ForUm correspondent reported.

Vice Prime Minister explained that the first phase of the action plan is legislative one. "We have a number of laws, which are virtually ready. They need passing in the Parliament. Since all political forces, represented in the Parliament, declare their loyalty to the European integration course, we’ll succeed in passing these laws in the shortest time," he said.

According to Hryshchenko, Ukraine has met most of the commitment under the action plan "that allows us to be optimistic about entering the stage of implementation in the near future."
