Public organizations, which are legal entities, received a right to do business, head of the Office for Constitutional and Legal Modernization Affairs under the Administration of the President of Ukraine Maryna Stavniychuk told a briefing, ForUm correspondent reports.

"They can do business in order to ensure the stable activity of public organizations, but not for the distribution of income among members of this organization. This allows public organizations to get additional resources to ensure more active work," she said.

According to Stavniychuk, consideration of this provision of the law caused a large number of contradictions, as there were fears that some careless citizens would use this opportunity for their profit.

She also informed that since the beginning of 2013, two public organizations in Kyiv and Kirovohrad region have been already registered in accordance with the new law in Ukraine.
