The Cabinet will today consider the program to systematically stimulate domestic production and the development of the real sector of the economy, as well as regional development program for 2013-2014, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said during the Cabinet’s meeting, ForUm correspondent reports.

"Today there are two main issues on the agenda of the government. The first is formation of the systematic program to stimulate domestic production and development of the real sector of the economy as a whole. The second is the regional development program for 2013-2014. The President insists on addressing both of them.

We need to consolidate the already achieved positive trends and to lay the practical mechanisms of growth of production in specific areas," he said.

The Prime Minister noted the necessity to increase production in the priority sectors, including engineering, IT-technologies, industrial agriculture.

Azarov also believes important to resume growth in the petrochemical, chemical and mineral processing industries.

"Formation of engines for development in their respective industries and regions is the main task for vice Prime Ministers Yuri Boiko and Oleksandr Vilkul and economic development and trade minister Ihor Prasolov," the PM instructed.
