Prime Minister Mykola Azarov is sure that the Ukrainian economy will grow in 2013, he said opening the Cabinet’s meeting, ForUm correspondent reports.

Azarov reminded that according to the World Bank, the global economy will have a minor development this year, but the overall situation will remain unstable. "Is it possible to ensure the growth of the Ukrainian economy under such conditions? I am convinced that it is," the Prime Minister assured.

Azarov considers that the economic growth can provide sufficient capacity of the domestic home market. "Over the last year, the retail sales in Ukraine increased by 16% and by about 50% compared with 2009. So our people have really started to invest half more in the purchase of goods and services than three years ago. This all happens in a stable price situation. For the second time since the independence of our country, the consumer price index in 2012 was lower than the previous year and amounted to 99.8%," he said.
