Today, January 16, foreign minister of Ukraine, the OSCE chairman Leonid Kozhara begins his visit to Austria, the FM’s press service reports.

Kozhara is expected to officially present priorities and program of Ukraine's chairmanship in the organization during the OSCE Permanent Council in Vienna on January 17.

"The priorities of Ukrainian chairmanship include the settlement of protracted conflicts within the OSCE area, strengthening arms control, confidence-building measures and security, preventing the negative impact of energy on the environment. Ukraine will pay much attention to the fight against human trafficking, the protection of freedom of speech, as well as other important issues of the OSCE human dimension," the press service statement reads.

Staying in Vienna, the minister will meet with President of Austria Heinz Fischer, the heads of the delegations of the OSCE participating States, the Secretary-General and the heads of OSCE institutions, heads of field offices.
