Azarov: Ukraine should be ready for flu epidemic

Ukraine should be ready for influenza epidemic, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said opening the Cabinet’s meeting, ForUm correspondent reports. 

Azarov also urged to monitor the readiness of Ukrainian medical institutions to respond to the influenza epidemic. "I instruct the Health Ministry to verify urgently clinics, hospitals, pharmacies regarding the availability of the necessary drugs. It is very important that the State Service for Drugs tightly controls the quality and necessary number of domestic antiviral, antipyretic and analgesic drugs in pharmacies. Then we will be able to guarantee that people can buy the effective and relatively inexpensive drugs," he said.
