Settlement of the "frozen" conflicts, including the Transnistrian conflict, will be priority of the Ukraine’s OSCE chairmanship, Ukrainian foreign ministry Leonid Kozhara told a press conference on Sunday after talks with Russian foreign minister Sergei Lavrov.
Ukrainian foreign minister reminded that Ukraine has a common border with the region.
"I will soon be visiting the Republic of Moldova as OSCE chairman. This will be a bilateral visit. We intend to intensify the process of conflict settlement in the region, and we have devoted a lot of time to this issue in negotiations with the Russian party," Kozhara added.
According to him, Russia and Ukraine, as the two main mediators of the Transnistrian conflict settlement, as well as countries that are most interested in it, should work in this direction.
