Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine supported the proposal of President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych to send 130 Ukrainian peacekeepers to Cote d'Ivoire.
266 MPs voted in favor of the bill on approval of the decision of President of Ukraine on sending the national contingent for the participation of Ukraine in the United Nations Operation in Côte d'Ivoire within the cooperation between the United Nations Mission in Liberia and the United Nations Operation in Côte d'Ivoire.
The bill was supported by MPs from the Party of regions faction, the Communist Party faction and the All-Ukrainian Union Freedom (Svoboda) faction.
