The Cabinet of Ministers proposes to reduce the staff of the Interior Ministry by 6.7 thousand to 317.7 thousand, the bill # 1203, registered in the Parliament on January 8, says.

The explanatory memorandum says that the need for this reduction is reasoned by transfer of functions of the Interior Ministry in the field of citizenship to the State Migration Service.

In addition, the Cabinet proposes to allow the activity of enterprises, which subject to the Interior Ministry and provide social and personal services (sewing and repairing uniforms, hairdressing), within the territory pertaining to the law enforcement agencies.

The bill also proposed to provide internal affairs officers and their families with the right to preferential rehabilitation and spa treatment at the expense of the state budget.
