Prices for foodstuff will remain at the same level this year, NBU aide Valery Lytvytsky told a press conference, ForUm correspondent reports.

"I can tell that Ukrainians should expect the revision of the state budget. It will be based on results of the first quarter of this year. Thus, all official ratings of price policy will be estimated only after announcement of official figures," he noted.

According to Lytvytsky, there are no grounds to expect a price rise for foodstuff.

"The prices for alcohol will hardly go down, but prices for clothes, shoes and consumer goods will remain stable for the whole year," the expert believes.

"There can be a prices rise for restaurant and communication services, but within reasonable level," he added but specified it was his personal opinion, not NBU forecast.
