Prime Minister Mykola Azarov instructed vice Prime Minister Yuri Boiko to control 100% provision of agricultural producers with fuels and lubricants for spring field works.

"I draw the attention of the Energy and Coal Industry Ministry and the Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry to the fact that as of January 4, farmers had about 140 thousand tons of diesel fuel and 36 tons of gasoline. This is only a third of the needs. The producers should be provided with fuel at stable prices prior to the spring works," PM said during the cabinet’s meeting, ForUm correspondent reports.

The Prime Minister said that the Cabinet pays special attention to spring field works.

"All conditions have been created for the works. Provision of seed crops makes up 102% of the needs. Farmers intend to use 15% more fertilizer and 10% more crop protection agents than last year," he said.

Azarov said that fertilizer prices are stable and remain at the level of 2011-2012.

He informed that the abovementioned Ministries have already agreed on the delivery schedule of fertilizers by the range and regions.
