The Foreign Ministry of Ukraine said that it appreciates the attention of international observers, paid to the parliamentary elections on October 28, but noted the political coloration of certain estimates by the OSCE/ODIHR Election Observation Mission.

Such a statement was made by the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine in connection with the publication of the final report of the OSCE/ODIHR observation mission, the Ministry press service informs.
The Ukraine’s FM appreciates "unprecedented attention, demonstrated by international observers, including the OSCE/ODIHR, to the election process in Ukraine."

"The evidence of this was about four thousand observers from international organizations and foreign governments, a record number in the history of monitoring the parliamentary elections in Ukraine. The ODIHR mission was made up of more than 600 people from about 40 countries. We see this as recognition of the importance and special role of Ukraine in the progress of democratic development and stability in the region by the international community," the statement reads.

According to the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine, international observers conducted significant work on the analysis of the process of preparation of Ukraine for the elections and their implementation in accordance with the Ukrainian legislation and recognized norms and standards in this area.

The Foreign Ministry also noted that observers “welcomed the peaceful and calm nature of the vote".

The Ministry promises that the Ukrainian party will take into consideration the recommendations of observers on improvement the electoral legislation and bringing it into full compliance with the highest international standards and regulations. "In the process, we are ready to continue the constructive and fruitful cooperation with leading international experts, including the OSCE/ODIHR," the FM press service statement says.
