The law on employment, which came into force on January 1, is to support the most vulnerable social groups and to create new jobs, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said, opening the sitting of the Cabinet of Ministers, ForUm correspondent reports.

According to him, there is no need to remind of the importance of employment issues for society, for the economy of the state.

The official noted that the law provides for compensation costs associated with the payment of a single social contribution (in the first year of work) for an employer, who employs young people in the first job, or employs people older than 50 years for not less than two years. The law also provides for the promotion of local authorities to create new jobs by making changes to the Budget Code on increase in deduction from the tax on personal income, which is included in the income of local budgets - from 25% to 100%.

The document also provides for material aid for young workers, who agree to work in rural areas. The law also provides for the organization of vocational training for the unemployed at the order an employer for a specific job. "From now on, only employers must pay recruitment agencies for finding employees," the head of government said.

In his opinion, "this law is very necessary and urgent for our country. However, about two dozen regulations should be passed for its implementation. Therefore, the new leadership of the Social Policy Ministry has an important task - to complete the adoption of such acts within a month".
