The Social Policy Ministry has been entrusted with weekly monitoring of the payment of salaries and social assistance to state employees, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said, opening the sitting of the Cabinet of Ministers, ForUm correspondent reports.
The PM has also demanded that the Social Policy Ministry reports regularly on the progress to the Cabinet. "Our agenda should not include the question of wages arrears," the official said.
He recalled that in 2012, there was a problem of wages arrears to state employees and the government allocated additional 3.3 billion UAH to address this issue. "As of January 1, there were no debts, as we had promised," the head of the government said.
